Trophy Girl Designs was established in 2011 when a simple product showed big potential.  It all started when Keri was searching for a specialty fire extinguisher mount for her 2002 Ford Ranger prerunner.  She was never impressed with the standard brackets that came with fire extinguishers.  They were either awkward to mount, made out of cheap plastic, or cumbersome to access.  She thought the prices were too high on the mounts she did find, so she set out to make her own.  When finished, she posted her work on a local off-road forum and offered to make more.  She set a price for her friends and with 9 orders overnight and 90 within the first 6 months, Keri decided to get serious about her good fortune.  She decided to pull all her skills and resources into one place, and that's this website.  The skills she doesn't use in her day job, she wants to put to good use helping others.  Whether it be designing, drafting, production, or commercial driving, she would like to exploit them here.

Keri has been hard at work on herself between college, her career, and all the activities she does in her free time.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2005.  With a couple of internships and her first job under her belt she began a career in semi truck testing in 2007 with Daimler Trucks North America.  She started in reliability engineering and moved on to durability testing in 2008 before leaving in 2012 to take her current position with PACCAR as a power train validation engineer.  She earned her class A commercial driver's license in 2008 and has logged thousands of miles driving across the country.  Her decision to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering was born from her passion for automobiles and drawing.  Since high school, Keri has participated in all kinds of automotive and motor sports events from SCCA club racing and SAE college Mini Baja competitions, to Best in the Desert and Ultra4 off-road racing and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Trophy Girl Designs has the appearance of a business with the soul of a hobby.  That means the purpose is to have fun, and not necessarily to make money.  Keri is a thrifty shopper and she loves getting a good deal.  We hope you enjoy finding our prices low as we'd rather make a sale than the money.
